CHINA - XIAN

There is always plenty of washing to do here - as you can imagine - so the washing machine & dryer go practically all day. 18 babies make for a lot of laundry (as the Americans would say).

The other photo is of the living room but it is really a do everything room. Play, sleep, change, eat etc. There are 6 cots with 2 or 3 babies in each, depending on how big they are. If they don't sleep in a cot they sleep in a bouncer or on the couch wrapped up in a blanket. One of the first things Lila told me was be careful where you sit as there may be a baby there. There are a few really small ones that once they are wrapped up in a blanket & on the couch you would hardly know they are there! The Chinese wrap babies up in so many layers that it can be hard to tell if they have a temperature or are just overheated!
