DENMARK - COPENHAGEN

So after lunch we kept cycling all over the place & naturally we went to see Mary at the Palace (the photo of me on the bike again) although because of the limited time I had in Denmark, I didn’t actually have time to catch up with her. Then into the Marble Church, past Rosenborg Castle, met Stephan, rode past the Round Tower & then had a coffee (I am really into latte‘s now).
We had a great dinner at an organic restaurant & then rode over to Tivoli. “What is Tivoli?” I hear you ask. It sounds kind of familiar doesn’t it? Well, it’s the oldest theme park in the world.
In Denmark! Can you believe that? Let’s face it, most of us didn’t have a clue about the place before Mary & all this time they had the oldest theme park in the world & we had no idea. Or is that just me? It’s kind of sad really. Like lots of Americans never having heard of Ayers Rock (Fiona D. K.!!!!!!!) even though it’s one of the natural wonders of the world.
We wandered around & I bought a few souvenirs (photo 2 of me in the shop - the Tivoli hat is a dead give away I guess) but there were no rides we really wanted to go on. It’s actually more about the atmosphere although Bec did win a box of chocolates (which she manifested) & was very excited about it. We got these huge icecreams called “Thor” which were a waffle cone with 2 scoops of your choice, plus soft serve, plus topping, plus chocolate chips, plus this thing like a snowball (only nicer as I don’t like them) which is a typical Danish children’s treat. As you can see from the photo we (especially Stephan) really enjoyed them.
We then rode home in the dark (I don’t think I could feel my bum by that stage from all the cycling) & went past the Carlsberg Breweries (last photo) with Stephan giving me great tour guide info that I can’t really remember. Except that the man who started it named it after his son Carl & berg means mountain or hill or something like that & it’s located on a hill.
I think.
Sorry for my poor memory retention!
