It snowed a lot last night and when we checked out the man on reception scraped all the snow of the windows for us which was very nice of him (now that we have bought our own snow scraper it probably won't snow - a good $3 investment though). We headed south to Roswell where the weather was better but first we had to get through all the snowy, icy roads on the way. It had stopped snowing but the winds were really high so it blew the snow up. It was like driving through a sand storm only with snow.
So. A snow storm really.
Anyway we had to drive really slowly but soon it cleared up and the further south we went the less snow there was and the warmer it got. Every now and then clumps of ice would slide off the car as it melted. It was kind of funny actually. Well for us. Not really for you I guess.
One of the reasons we decided to go to Roswell was because we had missed going to Area 51 which is part of an air force base and is supposed to be a holding area for aliens. Our fallback position was Roswell. Apparently a mysterious object crashed at a ranch in the 1940's and the military did a huge cover up so because of that everyone believed that aliens had landed. The town became a wannabe ET zone. So we thought it was worth checking it out.
But unfortunately we were wrong.
We went to look at the International UFO Museum and Research Centre. It was..........well...........kind of ..................well, I guess for people that are serious about UFO's it would be good. Me? I don't have a strong opinion either way but we did think it would be a bit more tongue in cheek. Not sure what gave us that idea.
Maybe the street lamps with alien heads.
