CHINA - XIAN

I know I should not have favorites but I just can't help it. Everyone seems to be drawn to different children for some reason or other. This is Julia & I just want to eat her up. I don't know what it is about her - she can be so serious but when she laughs her face just lights up. I even know her cry now & was lying in bed last night & could hear her down the hall. She is what Dad would call a screecher - she doesn't cry like the others, it almost sounds like a squawk - like she is really cranky. I just love it! The lady in the photo with her is Pam who is from Chicago in the U.S. (& yes Nicola I have her email & phone number) & she has now gone back home. She is a pediatric nurse (so you should have a lot to talk about when we catch up with her Nic - after we have been to see Oprah of course - maybe you should look up the tickets again soon) & was here with another organisation but would drop in every afternoon for a few hours.

So here is the short version (I promise this time because it really is boring) about my luggage. The taxi picked me up in the morning & drove me to the airport. Amanda had told him to go in with me which was good as I would have had no idea where to go. Eventually after a few conversations back & forth (which I couldn't understand as none of them spoke English - the taxi driver included - but I think it was something about my bag being in Xian but me not having actually flown into there) we got the luggage.

Praise the Lord is all I can say!!!!!!
