Okay, so I've been a bit absent of late (I hear you from here Sarah - well actually from my Mum via email) but after weeks and weeks of travelling and doing heaps of posts, I was looking forward to a break. So I figured that today, exactly 6 months after I left Australia (my gosh - where has that half a year of my life gone?), that I should get you up to date on the last week or two.
Staying in the one place for a few weeks, sleeping in, relaxing and just re-charging my batteries a bit is what I was looking forward to. Kiki has lent me her room and cupboard (no living out of a suitcase for a little while - woo hoo!) so I am all set up. The first few days I was here (staying with my friends Fiona and Bob and their daughter Kiki again - just in case I didn't mention that in my last post. It's so long since I wrote that I can't even remember. I guess I could look back. But...........nah) I did a lot of relaxing.
Plus we went to see two movies. "Ponyo" and "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". They were both good but Kiki would definitely recommend "Ponyo". She has already seen it for a second time.
Since I was here last there has been an addition to the family. A new kitten who initially was named Princess Summer Rose but that just didn't seem to stick so everyone kept calling her The Little One.
Which is not really a name but kind of worked.
Every name we suggested to Kiki was met with a prompt "No."
But a few days ago Fiona suggested Coraline (which is the name of a Tim Burton movie that Kiki loves) and we all nearly fell over when she said yes.
The only problem being that we have all being calling the kitten The Little One all this time that we naturally just say that without thinking.
Anyway she is very cute and feisty. But Squeaky (the other cat) is not so keen on this young whipper snapper that has suddenly appeared, is eating her food, taking attention away from her and constantly annoying her because she wants to play. There has been a bit of hissing going on even though they are not together all the time and we are just hoping Squeaky will warm up to her.
So here is a little video of her and a few photos (I know one of them is really fuzzy but I think it's so cute - she was just checking out the camera in case it was something she could play with).
