So what else did I do in New York apart from lazing about?
Well I worked kind of hard actually.
After helping Fiona at Shelter Island and throwing out a bunch of out of date food (you should all have a look in the pantry - you will be astounded at how much you will find) I decided to move onto the cupboards in New York.
So I systematically worked my way through the kitchen cupboards and now she has a lot more space (a rare thing in an apartment in New York) and a lot of empty plastic containers.
And it was heaps of fun.
I know that’s kind of sad but I find that type of thing very cleansing and therapeutic. Luckily for me Fiona and Bob didn’t mind at all. But you have to agree it’s always more fun cleaning out someone else’s cupboards than your own.
And let’s face it, a lot of people would not be impressed and would actually be insulated.
Not Fiona - she now has a list of other projects for me for later in the year!
The other thing I did was to help with a mail out of books for them. They have books called City Secrets and the latest one is the literature one. There were about 150 people who wrote for the book and I did a whole bunch of stuff to get books mailed out to all of them.
Have a look at their website at www.fangduffkahn.com - there will be a blog out soon with a newsletter sign up.
