TENNESSE - JACK DANIELS DISTILLERY

So the reason we didn't have time to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame was because the boys really, really wanted to go to the Jack Daniels distillery in Lynchburg plus we wanted to go to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and we didn't have time to do it all.
The tour was free (always a bonus) and the old guy that took us around had been doing tours for nearly 30 years and had such a strong southern accent that at times he was really hard to understand.
But he was so funny, one of those really great characters that you just don't seem to come by that much anymore.
As much as I'm not a big drinker - and definitely not a whiskey drinker - the tour was really interesting and he the fact that he made it funny as well, made it that much better.
At the end they give you a nice glass of lemonade.
Interesting fact - Lynchburg is a dry County. If you live there you have to drive just over 12 miles to another town to actually be able to buy some JD!
