HOLLAND - KINDERDIJK

Friday we drove to a town called Kinderdijk where there are lots of windmills that are now protected Heritage sites. We hired bikes & went on a 2 hour ride around the town & past the windmills (hope you enjoy the windmill photos Karen – your wish is my command). My bum was sore from the seat but I have to say that all the running I've done in the last 18 months came in handy. Not only did I not get exhausted but my legs didn't ache the next day either. You've got to be happy with that!
As you may (or may not) know Holland is not only the land of clogs & windmills (oh yeah & waffles) it is also the land of many, many, many bicycles. It's like they have a bicycle magnet here.
Had waffles again – this time just with icing sugar (only because they didn't have caramel sauce).
