My flight from London to Amsterdam was short - approx. an hour - although we were running about half an hour late. Finally we were there & after a long walk to the baggage carousel (actually most of the airports over here have really long walks from the plane to the bags - wish I had wheels on my carry-on bag. I bought that on a trip to Queensland with Janine & there was one with wheels - should have got it!) I could see Ingrid & the girls waving at me behind the glass. They had a "Welkom to Holland" helium balloon for me which was so great. I don't think I've ever been greeted at the airport with balloons before. We had an hour an a half drive to Eindhoven & on the front door of Ingrid's house were welcome signs the girls had made. There was also a Welcome Tracey cake!!!! I can't remember being made to feel so welcome before! We finally went to bed at about 12.30am which was 6.30am for me China time. I didn't get any sleep on the plane so I was a bit knackered by this stage & looking forward to bed (Li Xing - pronounced Lee Shing - generously donated her room to me for my stay here).
The second photo is of Ingrid's street - her house is the one to the right of the first carport although with the houses all the same & joined together I can understand if you can't really tell which one I mean.
