You really get to know people quite well when you spend a month with them despite not speaking the same language. The first photo is with Shau Whey (it's actually spelt Xiou Hui I think but I have spelt it phonetically to make it easier) & Tina. Despite having put on weight & her hair growing quite a bit Tina is not looking her best in this shot as she has the chicken pox. Shau Whey was sad to see me go & the feeling was mutual. She has been learning English so I would often help her out with the aid of my Lonely Planet phrase book (c/- the wonderful Sarah). I gave that to her as I left which she was thrilled about so hopefully her English will now come along in leaps & bounds.
The other photo is with Sophia - she is a local volunteer - & Libby who is her favorite baby. Sophia speaks good English which was great as she could translate to the nannies for us.
