Today Jenni had her wisdom tooth out - poor baby. Let’s hope it’s as easy as her for my tin ass brother who had no problems and apparently (or so he says) could have gone back to work the same afternoon.
Here at camp there is a weekly newsletter called “The Chirrup” that goes out each week and I am the editor. It’s so much fun chasing kids up for articles.
Not!
Actually they have been pretty good about getting them done and to me in time. Because I am slightly anally retentive about being organized and getting things done, it should all be ready in time.
There are also lots o sports tournaments that go on - some of which are staff only. Amy and I put our names down for everything whether we are good at it or not (more than often it’s not in my case - we all know how sporty I am). So here’s a couple of photos of the first round of the basketball tournament for staff. These guys are really serious about it (as are most boys the world over when it comes to sport). We played 3 on 3 & Holly (who was the girl on the other team) barely got to touch the ball although we each got one basket. Considering that you have to get to 31 & I only got 1 gives you an idea of how often I got the ball. And while you might be thinking that maybe I missed all my other shots and it’s not because I didn’t get the ball much - I only tried to score twice. In saying that I can understand that they want to win and if they give it to us who don’t actually play, then their chances of winning are hugely diminished. So Holly and I kind of had our own little game going on which basically consisted of trying to keep each other away from the basket.
I was on Jed’s team and we won so we are into the next round.
No other girls in that one - should be fun.
