Today we started getting up in time to do pilates in the lower lodge. How impressive is that? I must say that I am pretty happy with myself.
And just for something completely different - it rained today.
And just for something really mundane - our laundry went out today.
We also put in our cabin preferences. Which age group you want to work with & what staff you either do or don’t want to be in a cabin with. I put the younger kids aged 9-12. I decided not to put any staff preferences & go with whatever they decide.
It’s all about living on the edge.
The new me.
Or something like that.
Anyway I ended up in cabin 1 which is the youngest kids & usually the ones who have never been to camp before. My other counsellors are Tim (if he wasn’t gay I would be thinking there was a reason we keep getting put together - maybe there is & we just have to work out what it is) & Monica who is from Ecuador, has been coming here for about 10 years & runs the weaving.
We also had a get together with B.C. which was dinner & a contra dance (the first photo is Amelia, Me, Amy & Jenni & the second is just a bit of a group shot) which is kind of like a barn dance or ho-dad dance.
Is ho-dad a real word?
Even if it’s not, I like it!
